The second session of the fifth general meeting of members was successfully held
On the afternoon of January 12th, the second general meeting of the fifth session of the Shanghai Dongyang Chamber of Commerce was held in the conference room on the tenth floor of the Renaissance Shanghai Hotel. More than 100 executive vice presidents, vice presidents, directors, and members attended the meeting, including Ying Binghua, former director of the Organization Department of the Songjiang District Committee of Shanghai, Zhang Yaojun, president of the Shanghai Dongyang People's Association, Guo Liangrong, president of the Shanghai Dongyang Chamber of Commerce, Fang Shijun, Du Hongliang, and Du Ming. The meeting was chaired by Guo Wengao, secretary-general of the Shanghai Dongyang Chamber of Commerce.
President Guo Liangrong made a summary report on the work of the Chamber of Commerce in 2024, mainly divided into four aspects:
1、 Hold a successful election and strengthen our own construction. On January 13, 2024, the Chamber of Commerce held a solemn election ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Shanghai, and held a grand fifth session of the First Member Conference and Spring Festival Gala with the theme of "Taking on a New Mission and Embarking on a New Journey". Accompanied leaders from Dongyang Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, Municipal People's Congress, Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Municipal Friendship Association, Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce to Shanghai for inspection, study, investment promotion, and friendly visits to local elites. We attached importance to the internal system construction of the Chamber of Commerce, and further improved the financial system of budget and final accounts, the council meeting system, the working system of the secretariat, the recruitment system of new members, the collection system of membership fees, and the use system of mutual funds of the Chamber of Commerce. We attach great importance to the recruitment of new members. In 2024, the Chamber of Commerce will recruit 11 new members, including 1 Executive Vice President, 6 Vice Presidents, 1 Director, and 3 Members. We attach great importance to the collection of membership fees. Since the collection of membership fees for the new Chamber of Commerce began in March last year, most members have paid them in a timely manner, and the collection work has progressed smoothly. This also reflects the centripetal force of the Chamber of Commerce from one aspect.
2、 Take enthusiastic service to member enterprises as the foundation of the association. Regularly visiting members and increasing the frequency of corporate visits. In 2024, we visited 46 member companies including Taihong Group, Liangu Emerging Technology Park, Feige Ruite Automobile Co., Ltd., and Longqi Holdings. During the May Day holiday, I visited entrepreneurs such as Lu Daming, Jin Xiangjun, Xu Xuhong, Jia Yuxin, and Jin Xianzhong, who are vice presidents of the Chamber of Commerce in their hometown of Dongyang. They were warmly received by the entrepreneurs and strengthened the relationship with the members. Further sorting out the talent resources of Yangji in Hudong, including medical expert resources, technology expert resources, etc., and implementing dedicated personnel to maintain regular contact. Last year, we provided assistance to over 100 members solely for seeking medical advice and medication. By standardizing the management and use of chamber of commerce funds for the benefit of members, all members participating in annual physical examinations and chamber of commerce group tours will receive subsidies, and certain financial support will be provided to Shanghai Dongyang Education Expo, Women's Federation, Youth Federation, and Chamber of Commerce Golf Club. Pay attention to the construction of information communication carriers for member services. The official account, local accent magazine, chairman's WeChat group, director's WeChat group, member's WeChat group and other information communication carriers are all assigned with special personnel to take charge of, closely follow the information dynamics of members, and respond to the concerns of members in a timely manner.
3、 Return to hometown and take new steps forward. The return of funds to the hometown for economic construction has made great strides. Fang Shijun, Executive Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, and Taihong Group have signed an investment agreement with the Dongyang Municipal Government, planning to invest 1 billion yuan to return to their hometown and produce advanced nanocarbon and battery materials; Vice President Zhao Chunxin has added an additional investment of over 500 million yuan to the Hengdian Longjing Leidi Sen hotel industry for the return project; Vice President Wang Junping invested over 400 million yuan in the return project of Huashui Weilong Plastic Technology Park; Vice President Jia Yuxing has invested over 40 million yuan in his hometown; Vice President Jin Xianzhong has exceeded 40 million yuan; Huang Xinhong, Guo Wenliang, Guo Yingfeng and others are enthusiastic about the infrastructure construction of their hometown, generously investing in building bridges and roads for their hometown. The Chamber of Commerce supports the Shanghai Dongyang Education Expo's return home free clinic and enrollment promotion work, which has been widely praised.
4、 Inspire and unite local feelings in a variety of social activities. Focusing on integrating multiple resources and emphasizing collaborative progress among all parties is a major feature of the work of the Association and Chamber of Commerce in 2024. Supporting the Education Expo, Women's Federation, Youth Federation, and golf teams to hold various forms of activities, organizing red tourism and physical examinations for members, has effectively consolidated local sentiments.
Chairman Fang Shijun presented the Chamber of Commerce's 2024 financial income and expenditure report and 2025 financial budget report, which were reviewed and approved by all members.
Minister Ying Binghua delivered an enthusiastic speech and put forward five "musts" for the work of the Chamber of Commerce: we must always remember the original intention of "uniting hometown feelings and repaying hometown"; We must unite as one, support each other, and tolerate each other; We must grasp the relationship between innovative development and stable development to ensure the steady development of enterprises; We must make practical efforts to repay and invest in our hometown; We must build the Secretariat of the Chamber of Commerce well, becoming a bridge and link.
Subsequently, the attending members engaged in communication and interaction, with Executive Vice President Fang Shijun and other members expressing their suggestions and opinions, providing advice and suggestions for the development and construction of the Chamber of Commerce.
